Two kingdoms have been in an raging war for over two centuries, and now they are down to their last heirs. A prince and a princess. Everything now relies on them, all the decisions they have to make. Once every ten years, both kingdoms have agreed to have their leaders meet to talk about how they will deal with this...
The last one was almost ten years ago.

Domi-
I waited in the empty throne room, sitting in the one chair that was in there. I looked around tiredly, actually kind of depressed just being in here to be left alone to think. I decided to get up to walk around, pacing, thinking about the next few days before that meeting.

Alex-
I sat in the library of the castle, trying to focus on a book, though it couldn't seem to engulf me in the way I needed.

I got up, soon starting to pace around. I cursed under my breath. My soldiers we losing, and I just felt horrible about it.

Alex-
I sighed, standing up.

I heard the door open, hand on the hilt of my sword. It was only a soldier to tell me news from the battle field. He had a rim look on his face. He didn't have to tell me that we lost more men today.

Alex-
I got news that we had lost an extreme amount of men throughout the day, but were still in better shape than the other Kingdom. I nodded solemnly, sending the guard away. I sighed, exasperated.

Domi
I sat back down, head in my hands. Why did I have to be princess? I couldn't even save my men from getting slaughtered...

I looked out the library window, thinking I should be out there with them. Though I knew that that would never be allowed. I was too valuable, I was all this Kingdom had left.

I got up and decided to walk around the castle. I went to my parents old room, remembering the times I spent in here when I was a little kid. It was when everything was so much more simpler. I frowned, leaving my parents room. Too many bad memories we getting brought back from being there. I left and went to the library, just looking around now.

(time skip to meeting?)

I sat down, picking up the book again.

I was in the front of the castle, waiting for the prince to arrive. I thought about the next week, just the two of us left alone to talk about this damned war.

I wasn't late for the meeting, but if I didn't arrive soon I would be. But, finally, I arrived in front of the castle to find the princess waiting for me. I bowed politely to her highness.

I curtsied back, bowing my head in respect. "Shall I show you to your room?"

I nodded. "Yes, princess," I said in a firm, but kind, voice.

"Call me Domi." I said, turning on my heels to go back inside.

"Alex," I said, following her.

I opened the door, holding it open for him.

"Thank you," I said, walking inside.

I forced on a smile, nodded. "You're welcome," I said, walking towards the staircase.
